School Fishing Contest

Mary’s first week was mostly spent bemusedly watching Stephen dash from one activity to another. Stephen won the chocolate fish for biggest catch (so not much competition then), which was not actually big enough to keep and which had to be chucked back. I met quite a few of the school staff and had fish and chips with them at the famous Mangonui fish restaurant.

After six weeks of separation Mary has finally arrived safe and sound.

She didn’t know it was only a toy plane! Mary’s reply: My next journey from Auckland to Kaitai will be by car – say no more.
