Stephen came home on Wednesday and said he had had a terrible day – he had taken his class swimming last period and had had to swim with dolphins, no danger money was available. It’s now written into the curriculum under ’100 things to do before you die’ option. In the words of the Kiwis: “awesome”.

Where is a camera when you need one? So no photo of the dolphin swim but on Friday Taipa held a 4-day international Optimist Regatta and that was also awesome. 300 small boats set off in pretty rough winds and we sat in the bar with a beer and watched it for three hours.

They’re in next week!

Another week has floated by (please excuse the seaside metaphore). Stephen has been on a course in Auckland on Monday and Tuesday to find out how the New Zealand exam system works for graphics. It ends up being a cross between the GCSE system and the GNVQ “can do” process.

Preparing for ERO

A beer and some dips is obviously the answer. The surroundings make life so much more pleasant.
